FULL-TIME MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS LEAD
LOACOM is hiring a Marketing and Communications Lead to join our small, California-based team. The M/C Lead will manage many facets of client communications while working collaboratively with other M/C Leads. Job Title: Marketing and Communications Lead
Job Status: Full Time (remote positions considered)
- $60,000 – $75,000/year DOE

Will help LOACOM meet the contractual obligations of its clients, managing and/or assisting with client accounts. Responsibilities will include:
- Serve as a key interface between LOACOM and its clients in executing obligations related to marketing, communications, strategy, or other.
- Manage direct services to LOACOM clients related to marketing, communications, strategy, and related support. Ongoing responsibilities will include:
- Data-driven communication strategy and execution
- Marketing analytics
- Social media account management
- Creative direction
- Content distribution
- Digital campaigns – placement and management
- Content Calendars
- General communications support including email campaigns, website updates, etc.
- Graphic design
General LOACOM Support
Accounts Manager should be able to provide additional support as follows:
- Assist in the continued development and elevation of the LOACOM company brand.
- Represent LOACOM publicly when necessary, including:
- Events, conferences, and community gatherings
- Public speaking and lobbying
- Assist with the creation and management of creative digital/media campaigns for LOACOM-managed campaigns.
- Participate in weekly team meetings, retreats, and other team efforts.
- 3 years experience (minimum) marketing, communications, PR, and social media account management
- Strong ability to understand and synthesize marketing data/analytics to guide client communications
- Strong background in social platform management (FB, IG, LI, Twitter)
- Strong background in paid digital advertising (Social platforms, Google Ads, YouTube)
- Experience designing and executing digital campaigns for businesses and/or nonprofits, including analytics and reporting
- Strong understanding and use of SEO
- Strong familiarity with WordPress
- Strong Graphic Design (Ai, Ps, InD, Canva)
- Familiarity with scheduling platforms such as Sprout Social, HeyOrca, Hootsuite, etc.
- Strong familiarity with Mailchimp and other email platforms; analytics
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Familiarity with brand development processes and brand design

LOACOM seeks a part time Account Associate to support our daily responsibilities as articulated below. We desire a self-motivated, passionate, and creative individual with previous marketing experience who enjoys a dynamic office environment, collaborative problem solving, and implementing the latest technologies to support our ‘better world’ mission.
Main Job Duties
Communications Support: Will provide direct support to LOACOM account managers, helping meet contractual obligations of clients by working with account managers on client relations and management, marketing, communications, strategy, and related support. Responsibilities will include:
- Day to day work with Account Managers
- Occasional interface with executive management
- Content procurement/creation/development/scheduling
- Social media strategy, creation, and execution
- Basic graphic design
- Digital ad. support
- General communications support including email, web, etc.
- Occasional media outreach and public relations
General Support: Accounts Manager may be enlisted to provide support in additional ways, as follows:
- Assist in the continued development of the LOACOM company brand as well as infrastructure/capacity
- Provide team support with basic graphic design needs
- Assist with volunteer coordination, management, and/or event production
- Attend and support LOACOM events
- May be asked to participate in weekly team meetings, retreats, and other team efforts
- Excellent communication skills

- 1-2 years social media account management
- Graphic Design (Ai, Ps, InD, Canva)
- Experience with digital campaigns for businesses and/or nonprofits
- Familiarity with WordPress and basic web design skills

Available Internship Positions
Content & Events Intern
Content: Will provide direct support to LoaTree Inc./LOACOM staff in meeting client contract obligations as well as internal organizational needs. Content support may include any of the following:
- Social Media - Intern will support the management of LoaTree Inc./LOACOM’s social media accounts, as well as those of our clients, as deemed appropriate by the Communications Team. Social media platforms most frequently used include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Tasks will specifically include the development and implementation of content calendars, daily posting of content, assisting with social media campaigns, assisting with digital advertisements, tracking analytics and more.
- Email Communication - Assistant may support staff in generating content for email newsletters and general email outreach on behalf of clients and for internal Loa purposes as necessary. Assistant will develop and/or procure content, layout email designs using Mailchimp, and schedule/send email newsletters as necessary.
- Press Outreach/Research – Assistant may provide support to staff and clients on an ‘as needed’ basis to meet a variety of press outreach needs. This may include drafting and or sending press advisories/press releases, updating media lists, conducting specific outreach to regional/national targets based on client needs, updating media lists, researching new media/PR strategies, etc.
- General Support - As part of the various responsibilities described above, Assistant may support staff by providing a variety of general support services including, but not limited to, light graphic design, light web design, research emerging communication platforms, implementing growth strategies for LOACOM/LoaTree’s social platforms, general office support, and more.
Events: With 4 big event clients on the spring horizon, this position requires assistance and support in event production and planning. Event support may include any of the following tasks:
- Provide creative input and brainstorming to develop the program as a whole
- Participate in event meetings
- Event marketing and outreach
- Securing event details
- Permitting needs
- Volunteer/intern identification, recruitment, and management
- Budget identification
- On-site presence April 26-28;
