OUR VISION
A better world with
every interaction

OUR MISSION
To cultivate, connect, and activate ecosystems of changemakers committed to building vibrant communities and nurturing a thriving planet. We do this by executing dynamic marketing, communications, and campaign strategies.
OUR VALUES
Critical thinking and innovation are deeply seeded, alongside adaptability and fluidity.
We seek diversity, interaction, and the desire to grow networks across all the colors of the human family. Fundamentally, we love people.
We believe in altruism and leveraging the power of business to build a better world.
We live and work passionately, maintain positive relationships, and strive for abundance and levity of mind and spirit.
and the value of nurturing and being nurtured. We prefer hugs to handshakes.
and believe deeply in the resilience of our local and global community.
‘Sustainability’ alone is inadequate to address the global challenges facing humanity. We must design all of our systems and processes to regenerate ecosystems and human society.
We do not take for granted how lucky we are, and live each day knowing that others are not so fortunate. We recognize the privilege of having access to resources that facilitate our success, and aim to use these for the betterment of all.
and push ourselves to create inclusive environments both inside and outside our immediate ecosystem.
(LOA). What we believe and how we act manifests in countless and untold ways.

LOA Language: Our Definitions
As part of our 2020 initiatives, we set out to put to paper the meanings of phrases we've been using for years. The following are the most significant, and are used to describe our components for building a better world.

The word 'better' leaves room for growth (of all things). Everything we work towards – from our soil to our systems – can always be improved.

OUR VALUES IN ACTION
Certified B Corp
LOACOM became a Certified B Corporation in 2019. B Corps are a new type of company that use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. B Corp certification is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk.
LOACOM was certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. We’ve evaluated how our practices impact our employees, our community, the environment, and our customers. We join over 4,000 other Certified B Corps around the globe in redefining success in business so that one day, everyone uses business as a force for good.
Social Purpose Corp
The B Corp commitment adds an additional, critical step in order to codify a business’s participation: a newly certified B Corp must commit to a specific legal framework within its first two years of certification.
Our ongoing focus working on projects that aim to benefit the environment, local communities, and societies as a whole — while fulfilling our mission to cultivate, connect, and activate ecosystems of changemakers to build vibrant communities and nurture a thriving planet as articulated in our Articles of Incorporation — inspired LOACOM to become a Social Purpose Corporation.
LOACOM became a 1% for t he Planet member in 2014. 1% for the Planet is a global network of businesses, nonprofits, and individual working together for a healthy planet. Since its incept ion, 1% for the Planet members have contributed more than $175M to global conservation efforts.
As a member of 1% for the Planet, LOACOM commits 1% of annual gross revenues to organizations tackling the planet’s most critical issues. LOACOM’s annual donations have gone to organizations working to address climate change and climate injustice, alternative energy and transportation, water quality, wildlife recovery and endangered species, and much more. We are proud to be a part of this global network of over 4,000 businesses using profits as a force for good.
LOACOM acknowledges the traditional, ancestral lands of the Chumash people; stolen, unceded territories upon which we live, work, and organize.
We are committed to a process of continued (un)learning, and we honor the long-erased histories, cultures, contributions, and resilience of the Chumash people’s past, present, and future.
Through this brief and incomplete acknowledgment, LOACOM fully affirms the Chumash peoples’ efforts to restore their traditional stewardship practices, as the original caretakers of this land, and movements in support of cultural and economic Indigenous sovereignty.
